I successfully defended my MFA August 25th, 2021. I am currently working three projects. 1.The work of Saskatchewan Women making film since 1919. 2. "Autumn Ladies in the Time of COVID 19", an experimental participatory documentary. 3. Silent Film animator Lotte Rieniger and the elvoltion of silhouette animation.
Steenbeck
I was able to watch one of the “home ” movies made by the Poole family on their trip to China. I have to double check the date but I believe it was in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s.
Researching
I am following up with some leads to my researching on women working with film in the early 1900s. I had some delightful conversations with people who are not only interesting in themselves but interested in helping me with my project.

Lotte Reiniger
have been doing some research on the 1926 silent era animation feature The Adventures of Prince Achmid by Lotte Reiniger. Reiniger was a paper-cut artist who enjoyed Asian Shadow puppetry.
